When Neville went in search of Luna to tell her that he was in love with her, she threw all caution to the wind and threw herself at him, not wanting to waste another second when they could both very well be dead soon. They shared a passionate kiss, swapped “I love you”s and, before he ran off to continue fighting, Neville said to Luna “I swear, if we both get out of this thing, I’ll marry you.” Luna didn’t think much of it, due to the large and sudden influx of nargles, but Neville was a man of his word. The summer after Luna left Hogwarts, they were married on the beach at Shell Cottage.
